The solar eclipse in the Dordogne area (Belvès-en-Périgord), August 1999, projected through a pair of our binoculars. The 'projection screen' came from the local patisserie. We missed totality, which was happening back home at the time.

Me and my friend James in 1972. If you follow the link, you'll see James Brockington's name in the credits for Superman: The Movie (1978) He was the 'Second Reporter' for the Daily Planet and if you blink in the movie, you miss him. But he earned enough money to throw a wonderful party at Ladbroke Grove in London.
